The Court of Justice Erasmus project
Ve středu 22. ledna 2025 jsme se v rámci Kroužku přátel Evropy zúčastnili besedy s paní Jitkou Filipovou. Její prezentace se týkala role Soudního dvora Evropské unie v Lucemburku, kde paní Filipová pracuje jako právnička - lingvistka.
Paní Jitka hovořila o vícejazyčnosti EU a přiblížila nám svoji práci na zajímavých příkladech. Bylo pro nás překvapením, jak vypadá obrazovka překladatele právnického textu.
Zvlášť podnětné pro nás byly informace a odkazy na stáže a instituce, různé druhy profesí, které Evropská unie nabízí studentům a absolventům univerzit. Seznámila nás také se zajímavostmi o samotném Lucembursku a představila evropskou čtvrť Kirchberg.
Na závěr pro nás měla nachystaný krátký kvíz, jak pozorně jsme sledovali její prezentaci. Všechny otázky jsme zvládli na výbornou!

On Wednesday, January 22, 2025, we participated in a discussion with Mrs. Jitka Filipová as part of the Circle of Friends of Europe. Her presentation related to the role of the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg, where Mrs. Filipová works as a lawyer - linguist.
Ms. Jitka spoke about the multilingualism of the EU and introduced us to her work with interesting examples. It was a surprise to us how the legal text translator screen looks like.
The information and links to internships and institutions, various types of professions that the European Union offers to students and university graduates were especially stimulating for us. She also introduced us to interesting facts about Luxembourg itself and introduced the European district of Kirchberg.
At the end, she had a short quiz prepared for us, how carefully we followed her presentation. We did all the questions perfectly!
