Linda Kybeková studies abroad

Former student Linda Kybeková shares her international study experience.

Linda Kybeková, an inspiring former student, recently returned to share her incredible journey of studying abroad in Denmark, Italy, Spain, and Belgium. Her story highlighted the opportunities and challenges of pursuing education in multiple countries, offering valuable insights for current students.

Linda’s first destination was Denmark, where she finished her high school education. Through the programme The Una Europa Joint Bachelor of Arts in European Studies (BEAS). So first she started studying in Bologna, Italy where she made lifelong friends, and enjoyed authentic Italian pizza. Her journey continued in Madrid, Spain, where she used her Spanish language skills from our school. Finally, in Belgium, Linda explored international relations and expanded her knowledge. Throughout her talk, Linda emphasized the importance of stepping out of one‘ s comfort zone, adapting to diverse environments, and building a global perspective. She encouraged students to seize opportunities to study abroad, as the experience can be transformative both personally and professionally.

Although it wasn’t easy at first, she managed to push through and achieve her dreams. Her journey shows how international education can open doors and inspire others to explore the world and learn in new ways.

Today, the students of oktáva and the club of friends of Europe attended a presentation by Linda Kybeková about her experience studying abroad. She left our school when she was in sexta and moved to Denmark to finish high school. Linda began her studies abroad where she had to improve her English, make new friends, and embrace new culture.

Her university studies consisted of studying in different states in the EU thanks to an EU project. In Bologna, Italy, she got used to the different culture. Her next stop was Madrid, Spain, where she put into use her Spanish skills which she gained during studies in our school. The last country where she is currently studying is Belgium. Linda is studying international relations and expanding her academic perspective.

Linda finished her visit by answering questions and giving advice about life abroad. She encouraged students to be open to new experiences, make connections, and stay strong when facing challenges.

Her journey shows how studying in different countries can change your life. She inspired students to dream big, explore the world, and see things from a global perspective.

Linda’s main message was clear: studying abroad is not only about school, but also about meeting new people, learning new things, and building your future.

Life of an International Student: Linda Kybeková’s Journey

Linda Kybeková made a choice to leave Bishop Grammar School in sexta to study abroad.

She studied in Denmark and later in Bologna, Italy; Madrid, Spain; and Leuven, Belgium. She followed the IB (International Baccalaureate) program, which is known for its challenging curriculum.

Linda had to adapt to different cultures and languages. Communicating with her American friend was sometimes difficult. She also struggled to manage casual English due to her previous experience with just its formal part.

The COVID-19 pandemic made things worse. When borders closed, Linda got stuck in Denmark and couldn’t return home to her family. It was a tough time, but it shaped her as a person.

Linda Kybeková’s story shows the challenges of being an international student. Despite the difficulties, her determination and growth are truly inspiring.

The visit of Linda Kybeková

On the 16th January the students of Conversation in English and The Friends of Europe club took part in the presentation of former student of the Bishop Grammar school Linda Kybeková. The students have recieved plenty of interesting information about studying abroad.

Linda started her presentation with an introduction of herself and how she managed to leave the Bishop Grammar school in Žďár in the class of sexta. She applied for studies in Denmark. Unfortunately her parents were scared at first, but eventually they gave her full support. Linda began her studying journey with the International Bachelory programme in Political studies and International relations. After Denmark she applied for studying in Bologne, where her country of origin was mistaken for Czechoslovakia. Then she continued to Madrid and Leuven in Belgium. She has taken part in the European Solidarity Corps, a volunteering organisation funded by the EU, where she organized a Christmas village in Greece and other activities in Estonia.

Although there were some complications at the beginning of her journey, she has succsessfully overcome every problem, met a lot of new friends and nice people, learnt interesting things. She says that living in Europe offers great opportunities for studying abroad and travelling. She has never forgotten her home country the Czech Republic and likes to return home.

Thank you Linda for visiting our lesson!
