Projekt EU Erasmus Jean Monnet Iniciativy vyučování EU
V červenci 2023 naše škola podepsala smlouvu s Evropskou komisí EU na základě schváleného projektu Evropské Unie Jean Monnet " My Home is Europe". Hlavní cíle programu Erasmus+ pro léta 2021-2027 jsou inkluze a diverzita, udržitelnost, digitalizace a participace. Ty byly v našem projektu dodrženy a také všechny hlavní cíle programu Jean Monnet, proto se Evrospká komise v Bruselu rozhodla náš projekt schválit a přiznat nám grant na jeho realizaci.
Program Jean Monnet funguje od roku 1989 a jeho hlavním cílem je podpora lepšího porozumění Evropské Unie, šíření znalostí o EU a podpora výuky v oblasti studií o EU. Aktivita Iniciativy vyučování o EU se stane po 3 následující školní roky novým přínosem ve výuce cizích jazyků, základů společenských věd, výtvarné a hudební výchovy, dějepisu, zeměpisu, biologie, náboženské nauky a českého jazyka.

Slova Jeana Monneta (1888-1979), francouzského politika, diplomata a ekonoma. Monnet byl zastáncem volného obchodu, atlantické aliance a federalizace Evropy. Monnet stál při zrodu Evropského společenství uhlí a oceli a dále sjednocené Evropy, která měla zajistit mír.
Aktivity v rámci projektu budou nejenom školní, tedy ve výuce různých předmětů a ročníků, ale i mimoškolní. Na půdě gymnázia přivítáme řadu osobností evropského politického života.
Vrcholem naší práce bude studijní cesta žáků 2. ročníku do evropských institucí, letos bychom rádi zamířili do Lucemburku, kde navštívíme Evropský soudní dvůr a Evropskou školu, příští rok do Bruselu a ten další možná do Štrasburku.

EU Erasmus Jean Monnet Teaching Initiative Project
In July 2023, our school signed an agreement with the European Commission based on the approved European Union Jean Monnet project “My Home is Europe.” The main objectives of the Erasmus+ programme for 2021–2027 are inclusion and diversity, sustainability, digitalisation, and participation. These priorities, together with all the key objectives of the Jean Monnet programme, were fully respected in our project. For this reason, the European Commission in Brussels decided to approve our project and award us a grant for its implementation.
The Jean Monnet programme has been operating since 1989, and its main goal is to support a better understanding of the European Union, spread knowledge about the EU, and promote teaching in the field of EU studies. Over the next three school years, the EU Teaching Initiative activities will become a new contribution to the teaching of foreign languages, social sciences, art and music education, history, geography, biology, religious studies, and Czech language classes.
“We are not relaxing our efforts; people in Europe have no future anywhere else but in the Union.”
These are the words of Jean Monnet (1888–1979), a French politician, diplomat, and economist. Monnet advocated free trade, the Atlantic alliance, and the federalisation of Europe. He played a key role in the establishment of the European Coal and Steel Community and in the creation of a united Europe intended to secure peace.
The activities carried out within the project will not only take place at school, during lessons across various subjects and year groups, but also outside regular classes. Our grammar school will welcome a number of prominent figures from European political life.
The highlight of our work will be a study trip for second-year students to European institutions. This year, we would like to travel to Luxembourg, where we will visit the European Court of Justice and the European School; next year to Brussels; and possibly to Strasbourg the year after.
