Výstup Luxembourg 2026 Anežka Brožová, Šárka Stará

Soudní dvůr 

Projekt Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Learning Initiatives My Home is Europe nám umožnil navštívit Soudní dvůr Evropské unie v Lucemburku dne 7. května. Během návštěvy jsme měli setkání s českým soudcem Janem Passerem, který nám přiblížil fungování této významné evropské instituce. Soudní dvůr Evropské unie sídlí v Luxembourg a jeho hlavním úkolem je zajišťovat správný výklad a dodržování práva Evropské unie ve všech členských státech.

Před návštěvou jsme už o Evropském soudu něco věděli z hodin ZSV. Věděli jsme například, že rozhoduje spory mezi členskými státy a institucemi Evropské unie a že každý členský stát má svého soudce. Také jsme si uvědomovali, že jeho rozhodnutí mají velký vliv na fungování celé Evropské unie.

Během setkání jsme se dozvěděli mnoho nových informací o průběhu soudních jednání a o práci soudců i překladatelů. Velmi zajímavé bylo zjištění, že jednání probíhají v mnoha jazycích a že překladatelé musí zajistit přesné porozumění všem stranám. Nejvíce nás zaujaly moderní prostory soudu, atmosféra během jednání a profesionální organizace celé instituce. Návštěva pro nás byla velmi přínosná a pomohla nám lépe pochopit fungování Evropské unie.

Na závěr jsme si prohlédli také město Lucemburk. Navštívili jsme spoustu významných památek. Předem jsme měli připravený referát právě o kasematech a o významu Roberta Schumana pro vznik Evropské unie. Díky tomu jsme si mohli lépe spojit teoretické znalosti s tím, co jsme viděli přímo na místě. Celá návštěva pro nás byla velmi přínosná a zajímavá.

Court of Justice

The Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Learning Initiatives project My Home is Europe enabled us to visit the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg on May 7. During the visit, we met the Czech judge Jan Passer, who introduced us to the functioning of this important European institution. The Court of Justice of the European Union is based in Luxembourg City, and its main task is to ensure the correct interpretation and application of European Union law in all member states.

Before the visit, we had already learned something about the European Court in our social studies classes. For example, we knew that it settles disputes between member states and institutions of the European Union and that each member state has its own judge. We were also aware that its decisions have a major impact on the functioning of the entire European Union.

During the meeting, we learned many new things about court proceedings and about the work of judges and translators. It was very interesting to discover that hearings are conducted in many languages and that translators must ensure accurate understanding for all parties involved. We were especially impressed by the modern court facilities, the atmosphere during the hearings, and the professional organization of the entire institution. The visit was very beneficial for us and helped us better understand how the European Union works.

At the end of the trip, we also explored the city of Luxembourg City. We visited many important landmarks. In advance, we had prepared a presentation about the casemates and about the importance of Robert Schuman and his monument for the creation of the European Union. Thanks to this, we were able to connect our theoretical knowledge with what we saw in person. The entire visit was very valuable and interesting for us.
