Projekt Erasmus+ Lucemburk 

Již druhým rokem pracuje Biskupské gymnázium ve Žďáře nad Sázavou na projektu Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Learning Initiatives pod názvem My home is Europe.

Aktivity projektového týmu a studentů školy se odehrávají ve výuce téměř všech předmětů, v rámci učebních modulů a extra kurikulárních hodin, besed, setkání a projektů, diseminačních a informačních akcí.

Vrcholem roční práce je vždy návštěva sídel institucí Evropské unie deseti studenty, kteří prošli výběrovým řízením školy a vzorně naši školu reprezentovali v zajímavých rozhovorech a setkáních v českém i anglickém jazyce.

I tentokrát naše cesta směřovala do Lucemburku, malebného města, kde se snoubí starobylá zákoutí se studenými kasematami a palácem velkovévody s moderní čtvrtí Kirchberg s okázalými mrakodrapy, prosklenými budovami a Filharmonií.

Naše první kroky vedly do Evropské školy Lucemburk II, kde jsme měli možnost pracovat se studenty různých národností. Díky iniciativě paní Dany Zajíčkové jsme mohli pracovat ve třídách sekundárního vzdělávání v hodinách anglického jazyka, historie a zeměpisu s vyslanými učitelkami z České republiky Lianou Barney, Kateřinou Chlumskou a Helenou Morawskou.

Nádherná vila někdejšího lucemburského premiéra Pierra Wernera v Lucemburku je dnes sídlem Velvyslanectví ČR a tady nás vřele přivítala paní Barbora Pláničková, zástupkyně velvyslankyně. Dozvěděli jsme se zajímavé informace o historii vily a premiéru Wernerovi, ale především nám bylo vysvětleno, jakým způsobem velvyslanectví  funguje a jakým činnostem se věnuje. Vzhledem k tomu, že jsme místo navštívili jako projektová skupina EU, poskytnutý výklad se týkal fungování, významu a důležitosti EU v oblasti obchodu, vnitřní a zahraniční politiky a výhod nás občanů Unie.

Pan Jan Gregor, rodák ze Žďáru nad Sázavou, je dnes vedoucím jednoho z pěti senátů Evropského účetního dvora, který kontroluje příjmy a výdaje EU a jejích orgánů. Srdečně nás přivítal spolu s paní Janou Olšakovskou v reprezentačních a jednacích prostorách a také ve své pracovně, kde vyprávěl nejen svůj osobní příběh, ale hlavně nám osvětlil fungování Účetního dvora a seznámil nás s Výroční zprávou za rok 2023.

Jak probíhají jednání Evropského parlamentu během prvních dvou čtení a přijímání nových unijních právních předpisů, jsme si vyzkoušeli při simulovaném interaktivním jednání na téma obhajoba politických programů různých stran, hnutí a seskupení.

Překvapením posledního dne našeho pobytu bylo přijetí soudcem za Českou republiku u Soudního dvora EU panem Janem Passerem přímo v impozantní budově tohoto soudu. V hlavním jednacím sále jsme bedlivě poslouchali slova pana Passera o vzniku a historii EU, fungování Soudního dvora a jeho práci. Inspirující byla pro nás i setkání s panem Davidem Hadrouškem, členem týmu pana Passera, a paní Magdou Ličkovou z kabinetu kyperského generálního advokáta.

Chladné brzké ráno nás vítalo na lucemburském letišti, letadlo společnosti Luxair spolklo naši skupinku a po hodince letu jsme se opět ocitli v naší zemi, která je více než 20 let členem Evropské unie. Byla to opravdu zajímavá mise plná úžasných a inspirujících setkání. Její členové se těší na zpracování získaných informací a příběhů, které poputují dále ke studentům, spolužákům, učitelům, rodičům, návštěvníkům školy a široké veřejnosti.

Erasmus+ Luxembourg project 5-9 May 2025

For the second year, the Bishop Grammar School in Žďár nad Sázavou has been working on the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Learning Initiatives project called My home is Europe .

The activities of the project team and school students take place in the teaching of almost all

subjects, within learning modules and extracurricular classes, discussions, meetings and

projects, dissemination and information events.

The highlight of  each year work is always a visit to the headquarters of European Union

institutions by ten students who passed the school selection process and represented our

school in an exemplary manner in interesting interviews and meetings in both Czech and

English languages.

This time too, our journey was directed to Luxembourg, a picturesque city where ancient

corners with cold casemates and the Grand Ducal Palace combine with the modern Kirchberg

district with its spectacular skyscrapers, glass buildings and the Philharmonic.

Our first steps led to the European School Luxembourg II, where we had the opportunity to

work with students of different nationalities. Thanks to the initiative of Mrs. Dana Zajíčková,

we were able to work in secondary education classes in English, history and geography with

teachers from the Czech Republic: Liana Barney , Kateřina Chlumská and Helena

Morawská.

The beautiful villa of the former Luxembourg Prime Minister Pierre Werner in Luxembourg is

now the seat of the Embassy of the Czech Republic and we were warmly welcomed here by

Ms. Barbora Pláničková, Deputy Ambassador. We learned interesting information about the

history of the villa and Prime Minister Werner, but above all, we were explained how the

embassy works and what activities it does. Since we visited the place as an EU project group,

the explanation provided concerned the functioning, meaning and importance of the EU in the

areas of trade, internal and foreign policy and the benefits for us citizens of the Union.

Mr. Jan Gregor, a native of Žďár nad Sázavou, is today the head of one of the five chambers

of the European Court of Auditors, which audits the revenue and expenditure of the EU and

its institutions. He warmly welcomed us, together with Ms. Jana Olšakovská, in the

representative and meeting rooms and also in his office, where he not only told us his personal

story, but also explained to us the functioning of the Court of Auditors and introduced us to

the Annual Report for 2023.

We experienced how the European Parliament deliberations take place during the first two

readings and adoption of new EU legislation during a simulated interactive meeting on the

topic of defending the political programs of various parties, movements and groups.

The surprise of the last day of our stay was the reception by the judge for the Czech Republic

at the Court of Justice of the EU, Mr. Jan Passer, right in the impressive building of this court.

In the main courtroom, we listened attentively to Mr. Passer words about the establishment

and history of the EU, the functioning of the Court of Justice and its work. We were also

inspired by the meeting with Mr. David Hadroušek , a member of Mr. Passer´s team, and Ms.

Magda Ličková from the office of the Advocate General of Cyprus.

A cold early morning greeted us at Luxembourg airport, a Luxair plane swallowed our group

and after an hour of flight we found ourselves back in our country, which has been a member

of the European Union for more than 20 years. It was a truly interesting mission full of

wonderful and inspiring encounters. Its members are looking forward to processing the

information and stories we have gathered, which will be passed on to students, classmates,

teachers, parents, school visitors and the general public.
