Studijní pobyt v Lucemburku
ŽÁCI 2. ROČNÍKU OBJEVOVALI KRÁSY LUCEMBURKU
Lucemburk, město známé vysokým počtem mostů, institucemi EU nebo krásnými hrady a zámky. Krásy města uchvátí kde, koho a každý si zde najde to svoje. Je libo poznání a zorientování se v institucích EU? Pokochat se krásnými památkami a zároveň moderními stavbami? Nebo snad poznat historické centrum města, které je zároveň památkou UNESCO? To vše v Lucemburku najdeme a žáci 2. ročníků a sexty to zažili na vlastní kůži. Díky projektu ERASMUS+ Jean Monnet se skupina žáků z 2. ročníku a sexty mohla účastnit výjezdu do zahraničí a poznat tak město Lucemburk, a hlavně instituce EU.
Žáci hned druhý den po příletu neotáleli a vydali se do evropské školy, která se nachází u obce Bertrange. Přivítala je paní učitelka Zajíčková, která na škole vyučuje češtinu. Ve škole děti mohly nahlédnout do hodin různých předmětů, které si zvolily. Díky této příležitosti měli možnost náslechu např. Hodiny angličtiny, matematiky, biochemie nebo výchovy k občanství. Dále paní Zajíčková seznámila děti se skupinou českých studentů. Zde se měly prostor seznámit se skupinou svých vrstevníků, které ve škole provází jiný systém. Našly ale i společnou notu, a dokonce přišlo i na zpěv a tím bylo zakončeno milé dopoledne. Odpolední program spočíval v návštěvě Muzea moderního umění velkoknížete Jana. Zde žáci měli možnost shlédnout poutavou výstavu moderního umění, která mnohé šokovala a některé fascinovala. Názory zde byly různé, ale i odpolední program sklidil chválu.
Další den studenty čekalo setkání s panem Gregorem, který je stínovým prezidentem Evropského Účetního Dvoru a studoval právě ve Žďáře nad Sázavou. Pan Gregor našim studentům přiblížil, co jeho práce obnáší, jak se k Účetnímu Dvoru dostal a nechyběla ani lehká prohlídka budovou. Byl otevřený diskuzi se studenty, a nakonec ze setkání byl příjemný zážitek, který naše studenty obohatil o nové znalosti.
Poslední den pobytu se studenti zúčastnili oslav Dnu Evropy, který se slaví na počest Schumanovy deklarace z 9. května 1950, která položila základy Evropské unie, jak ji známe dnes. Studenti se u budovy Evropského Parlamentu mohli seznámit s dalšími institucemi, zkusit si kvíz o EU nebo si projít stánky všech 27 členských zemí, kde se mohli dozvědět mnoho zajímavých informací nebo si zahrát interaktivní hry, či vyzkoušet tradiční pokrmy a nápoje. Celou dobu akci provázel program na jevišti, kde se objevil i samotný velkovévoda.
Poté už studenty čekala cesta zpět, která se na letišti protáhla více než očekávali, ale i tak si výjezd užili a určitě si odnáší spoustu nových znalostí, zážitků a třeba i nová přátelství a známosti. Třeba se někteří z nich i jednou vrátí ať už z důvodu dalšího prozkoumávání Lucemburska, anebo třeba jako nová generace, která se chce podílet na chodu EU.

Study Trip to Luxembourg
SECOND-YEAR STUDENTS DISCOVERED THE BEAUTY OF LUXEMBOURG
Luxembourg, a city known for its many bridges, EU institutions, and beautiful castles and châteaux. The beauty of the city captivates everyone, and there is something here for everyone to enjoy. Would you like to learn more about and gain a better understanding of the EU institutions? Admire beautiful historical landmarks alongside modern architecture? Or perhaps explore the historic city center, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site? All of this can be found in Luxembourg, and the second-year and sexta students experienced it firsthand. Thanks to the ERASMUS+ Jean Monnet project, a group of second-year and sexta students had the opportunity to take part in a study trip abroad and get to know the city of Luxembourg, especially the EU institutions.
On the very next day after their arrival, the students wasted no time and headed to the European School located near the village of Bertrange. They were welcomed by teacher Mrs. Zajíčková, who teaches Czech at the school. The students had the opportunity to observe lessons in various subjects of their choice. Thanks to this experience, they could sit in on classes such as English, mathematics, biochemistry, and civics. Mrs. Zajíčková also introduced the students to a group of Czech students attending the school. This gave them the chance to meet peers who study within a different educational system. Nevertheless, they quickly found common ground, and the pleasant morning even ended with singing together.
The afternoon program consisted of a visit to the Grand Duke Jean Museum of Modern Art. Here, the students had the opportunity to see an engaging exhibition of modern art, which shocked some and fascinated others. Opinions varied, but the afternoon program was highly appreciated as well.
The following day, the students met Mr. Gregor, who serves as a shadow president of the European Court of Auditors and who himself studied in Žďár nad Sázavou. Mr. Gregor explained to the students what his work involves, how he came to work at the Court of Auditors, and also gave them a brief tour of the building. He was open to discussion with the students, and the meeting turned into a very pleasant experience that enriched them with new knowledge.
On the final day of the stay, the students took part in the Europe Day celebrations, held in honor of the Schuman Declaration of May 9, 1950, which laid the foundations for the European Union as we know it today. Near the European Parliament building, the students had the opportunity to learn more about other EU institutions, try an EU quiz, and visit booths representing all 27 member states. There, they could discover many interesting facts, play interactive games, and sample traditional foods and drinks. Throughout the event, a stage program entertained visitors, and even the Grand Duke himself made an appearance.
Afterwards, the students began their journey home. Although their wait at the airport was longer than expected, they thoroughly enjoyed the trip and certainly took away many new experiences, valuable knowledge, and perhaps even new friendships and connections. Maybe some of them will one day return — whether to continue exploring Luxembourg or perhaps as a new generation eager to contribute to the future of the European Union.
